Adam O. Davis Astronauts, 1809

Astronauts, 1809

Mute as math allows

the sky is a cinder

block smashed by hydrogen and moth

light. The Earth a blue penny in a black pool.

There is no more romantic muscle

than homelessness, the history of never

having had too precious

to dispel. This sky is

not spite nor ill spirit

nor Cain. This sky

is forecast and we are

the tower to oversee it.
